Busy: Reconnecting with an Unhurried God
Welcome to Worship
We invite you to move through our virtual service, listening to the ways God speaks to you in this time we are away from our sanctuary. Take time to reflect and pray as you are moved to do so.

Silent Personal Prayer
Prayers of the People
Jesus, remember us when you come into your kingdom.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
For your church around the world,
reaching out in care and compassion,
bring gifts of healing and hope,
we ask courage and trust.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
For leaders of every type and stripe,
the ones making hard choices and difficult decisions,
the ones carrying the weight of life and death for others,
we ask grace, wisdom, and, most of all, a commitment to love.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
For teachers and students,
those who learn and grow,
those who nurture and guide,
we ask patience and openness
as all embrace new ways of connecting and being together.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
For doctors, nurses, medical professionals, and first responders,
those who show up, those who risk, those who serve and sacrifice
for the sake of so many others,
we ask protection and peace, rest and strength to take on each task,
eyes to see each person as unique, made in your image,
hands that are gentle and comforting for all in need of the gifts they bring.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
For people who suffer and sorrow, the sick, the lonely, the lost,
those in agony, those gripped with disease and dis-ease,
those struggling to breathe one more breath,
those at the end of their rope,
we ask your healing peace, your abiding presence, your love unending.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
For us,
those who have done the hard thing,
those who have walked the way of Lent,
and now stare down at the abyss of a week called Holy,
those whose hearts grow faint at what lies ahead,
those whose legs ache at the thought of one more step on this way,
we ask obedience, faithfulness, and trust.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
God of love,
As in Jesus Christ you gave yourself to us,
so may we give ourselves to you,
living according to your will.
Keep our feet firmly in the way
where Christ leads us;
make our mouths speak the truth
that Christ teaches us;
fill our bodies with the life
that is Christ within us.
In his holy name we pray. Amen.
